Candidate Forum: NY's 19th Congressional District

Your representative in Congress has a big impact on local and national environmental issues, including passing legislation and securing funding for everything from water quality improvements to open space preservation to renewable energy regulations. Often, voters do not have the opportunity to hear directly from candidates about their position on environmental issues. That's why the New York League of Conservation Voters Education Fund is co-hosting this candidate forum in NY's 19th Congressional District with Friends of the Upper Delaware River, the Coalition for the Delaware River Watershed, and the Delaware Highlands Conservancy to bring the candidates to you!

Featuring Democratic Nominee Antonio Delgado and Congressman John Faso.

Stretching from the Hudson to the Delaware River, New York's 19th Congressional District spans suburban, rural, and small-town neighborhoods. This forum will focus on efforts at the federal, local, and state levels to protect the Delaware River Watershed, which provides drinking water to 15 million people and is responsible for 600,000 jobs and $22 billion in annual economic activity, including a lively tourism industry and one of the finest trout fisheries in the country. Keeping the river and its tributaries clean is essential for the continuation of these activities and for the communities that call the watershed home.

Special thanks to The Western Hotel for hosting us!
